PhD Student Position in Bioinformatics

Details:


A PhD. position is available in the Lysak lab at the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC), Brno, Czech Republic. The project focuses on the analysis of evolution of diverse classes of DNA repeats in several monophyletic groups within the mustard family (Brassicaceae). The applicant will also be participating in analyses of repeatomes of the Ranunculaceae species (the buttercup family) and water ferns (Salviniales).

Requirements:


Degrees: MSc. in bioinformatics or computational biology/molecular biology.


Motivation and interest in plant biology is a plus.


Theoretical knowledge of bioinformatics and bioanalysis.


Experience in NGS data analysis.


Programming language as C++ will be strongly appreciate.


Good communication and interpersonal skills and at least intermediate fluency in spoken and written English are required.
